There are three ways to deploy a survey, depending on what type of survey you created. Surveys can be deployed by email or by link
NOTE: The following steps assume that you have already created a survey and activated it in your account.
To deploy a survey by Preformatted Benchmark Email survey template:
- Click the Emails tab
- Click Surveys link from the submenu
- Click the Status icon
This is the first icon to the left of the name of the survey.
- Select the Send via Benchmark Email
After this, the process is exactly the same as creating an email except for the template selection process.
You will be required to select whether to deliver the email immediately or at a later date. If you choose to send at a later date, you can schedule the date on which to send the message.
To deploy a survey by Benchmark Email emails:
- Click the Emails tab
- Click the Edit This Email icon

When you click the Emails link, you will be shown a list of all of the saved emails in your account. To the right of each entry, three icons appear. The first icon is the Edit This Email icon .
- Click on the Email Builder link from the summary.
- Click on the Edit icon
over the block you want to insert the survey link.
- Click on the Survey icon
under the Insert section of the editing options.
- Select the survey from the list to use in the body of your email.
- Click on Save & Next
- You will be required to select whether to deliver the email immediately or at a later date. If you choose to send at a later date, you can schedule the date on which to send the message.
To deploy a survey by link:
- Click the Emails tab
- Click Surveys from the submenu
After you click the Surveys link, you will be shown a list of all the active surveys in your account. The link appears under the name of the survey.
NOTE: Do not copy the URL from the address bar of the survey itself. The URL displayed on the survey itself is an abbreviated version of the actual URL. If you distribute the URL displayed in the address bar of your browser, your contacts will not be able to access your survey.
