I want to create a link in my email. How do I get the URL for this?
Placing links from websites, blogs or PDFs into your email campaign means that you are referencing the URL or web address for the page where the content is stored. An example of a URL is http://www.benchmarkemail.com/. When your campaign is opened, the URL will direct subscribers to the desired page once the link is clicked.

The content needs to already be online before it can have a URL. To get the URL, follow these steps:
  1. Open your browser and navigate to the page you want to reference.
  2. The URL is the address that is shown at the top of your browser. Highlight the address in its entirety and Copy it to your clipboard.

Note: Make sure you include the http:// and the file extension, such as .org or .pdf.
  3. Return to your Benchmark Email account and open the block in your campaign. Now insert the link.

You may find it useful to change the color of your link so that it matches the look of your campaign. You can also attach the link to an image that contacts may click on.
