Templates have global styles (which apply to whole areas of the email, like the body or the header) as well as individual styles (applicable only to the particular block/section). If the block/section level styles are not defined in the templates (in this case, if you move a block/section from one area to another) and that second area has a different set of global settings, then the default colours and fonts will change to reflect the global styles in the new area.
