I spent almost every summer of my formidable years at an overnight camp. There was a part of me that wished those summers would never end. One of my oldest friends took it even further. Andy Shlensky is now the owner and director of Camp North Star for Boys, the camp he grew up attending. With Jenn out the day we were set to record, I flew solo for a chat with one of my oldest friends. It was a unique experience, to be sure.

All of us had things we wanted to be or do when we were young. Andy Shlensky knew and took the path necessary to make that happen, never wavering from his course. As a friend, it’s one of the things I’ve always admired most about him. As a listener, I think you’re going to want to go to camp, send your kid to camp and you’ll certainly want to go out and find that job that you’re most passionate about.

Not only has Andy succeeded in making his dreams come true, his love and dedication to Camp North Star will warm your heart. He understands what makes the camp experience so fun and unique and works tirelessly year round to deliver that to his campers. Enjoy!
