Veterans Day is a time to honor our country’s military veterans. This may be an over-simplification of things, but soldiers have gone to war in protection of the American dream – even if some days that dream is coming home from work and playing four hours of video games in my boxer shorts. That’s why I support our troops, especially at a time like Veterans Day. In all seriousness, I celebrate Veterans Day because I have friends and family that have served in the military and I appreciate everything they have done for our country. Especially since their decision to do so means that I didn’t have to.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, there is a ceremony at the Tomb on the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery. Closer to home, there are many ways you can honor veterans. This Veterans Day, send an email campaign using a Benchmark Email Veterans Day template to your subscribers. Tell them how they can pay tribute to veterans in their community. Suggest sending notes or cards to hospitalized veterans or even to go visit them. After all, a great Veterans Day is one that truly pays homage to our country’s military veterans.
