As I wrote about in last week’s “All Work & No Playlist” post, we spent the week in New York and attended the New York Small Business Expo. It was a great success and we want to that everybody who stopped by our booth and chatted with us. We had a blast! I spent the rest of the weekend with one of my best friends from high school. He’s lived in New York for six years and I had never visited him there. We’d see one another in Chicago for holidays or at friends’ weddings. It was fun to see what his life in New York was like. It was also funny to see how spending time together would throw us back into old rhythms. It’s good to feel connected to your past. I always admire how far I myself and Benchmark as a company has come since I started here. We’ve done amazing things and changed and grown so much. However, it’s also good to remember the ideals we’re built on and where we came from. In honor of that, here’s a playlist from 2003 … the year I graduated from high school. Let it take you back and remind you of your roots.
