Seijin no Hi, or Coming of Age Day Email Template

In the Jewish religion we come of age at our Bar/Bat Mitzvahs at the age of 13. In other religions or cultures it takes a vision quest or something that may not be called that, but also involves wandering in the wilderness and taking peyote. What, you're telling me that only happens in movies and on TV? In Japan, they have a national holiday for it. Coming of age, not vision quests.

Coming of Age Day takes place on the second Monday of January. This day honors all of those individuals who turn 20 between April of the last year and March of the current year. The government holds coming of age ceremonies where officials speak and gifts are handed out to those celebrating. These ceremonies are often followed by after parties involving family and friends.

Celebrating your 20th birthday twice. Sounds like a brilliant idea to me. Honor your young Japanese subscribers by wishing them a happy Coming of Age Day. It's even easier than sending out a birthday email. Instead of birthdays spread throughout the year, it's just one day. Use a Benchmark Coming of Age email template and honor your Japanese subscribers who turned 20 this past year.
