When someone forwards my email, why doesn't the recipient’s copy look like the original?
It all boils down to the email service provider. For instance, you may open your
email in Yahoo!, but if you forward it to a friend that uses AOL it will look
different because email service providers use different types of coding to display
emails.
For this reason, we recommend using Benchmark's “Forward-to-a-Friend”
feature. With this feature, you can insert a link in your emails that recipients
can use to forward to their friends. The advantage to using this link vs. simply
forwarding an email manually is that if your recipients use this feature to
send a forward, we can track where it goes and you can view that info in your
campaign reports. If it is forwarded manually, we can't track it and you lose
out on a potential customer.
If you still want to use a manual forward, add the original email as an attachment.
