Our Sales and Partner Manager Daniel Miller sent me a message the other day about Benchmark Email participating in a workshop at the Small Business Expo. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t skim it at first and see workshop and small in the same sentence and immediately thought we’d be working with Santa’s elves. Alas, that was just wishful thinking. However, what is actually happening is equally as exciting.

Benchmark Email has been invited to give a seminar at the Small Business Expo. The title of our seminar is: The Dirty Side of Email Marketing. We will be discussing the major mistakes a business should avoid while building emails. This includes subject lines that pass the test, keeping the ISP and your subscriber happy, getting to the inbox and understanding your reports.

We are honored to be presenters amongst other esteemed companies such as Yelp and PayPal. The event is being help on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST at the California Market Center. Further details can be found on the Small Business Expo website.

by Andy Shore

Andy Shore found his way to Benchmark when he replied to a job listing promising a job of half blogging, half social media. His parents still don’t believe that people get paid to do that. Since then, he’s spun his addiction to pop culture and passion for music into business and marketing posts that are the spoonful of sugar that helps the lessons go down. As the result of his boss not knowing whether or not to take him seriously, he also created the web series Ask Andy, which stars a cartoon version of himself. Despite being a cartoon, he somehow manages to be taken seriously by many of his readers ... and few of his coworkers.
