Sign Up for a Free Benchmark Email Account
You must have a Benchmark email account to use our email marketing solution. However, as previously mentioned, the process of signing up for an email account comes at no cost under our free plan. The entire process of creating and setting up the account takes less than 15 minutes.
To start, you’ll need to provide your first name, last name, phone number, and email address. You will also be required to provide your organization name, organization list size, and login information. Next, you'll need to create a password for accessing your account.
To get the most success out of our tools, you will be asked to specify what you wish to accomplish with Benchmark:
- Connecting your eCommerce tools to Benchmark Email.
- Sending email newsletters or cart abandonment emails to your customers.
- Automating your email marketing process.
- Capturing more leads and growing your sales.
Hit the "Create Free Plan" option, and your account becomes active.
Sign Up for Groove
Visit the Groove website and you can sign up for their 100-day free trial or select a plan under their pricing page. To sign up, you will be required to provide your name, job title, and details about your business.
Note that they will ask you what CRM you currently use to help your customers. Select one of the listed CRM systems, but if you don't use any of the options provided, then click on "Other" and put in the tool you use.

Log In to Your Benchmark Email Account
Open your Benchmark Email application to begin the integration process. Select the first name option located at the top page by the right. This option will produce a dropdown. From there, select the option "Integrations." Then, select the "Get Started" option.
You'll be directed to a new page that will show the various Benchmark Email integrations. Locate and click on "Groove" to begin the process.
Locate the API Key
Login to your Groove account and click on "Organization" on the left. Select the API option and copy the Private Token. Open the Benchmark account again and paste the Private Token where requested. Click "Save & Next."
Complete the Integration
Select the Group where your contacts will be imported from and the list where you would like to add the contacts. If you don't have a list, you can create a new one with the "Create New List" option. Click "Save & Next."
Review and map your list field. Click "Save & Next."
This completes the integration process. Note that since integration is a one-time import process, you will need to upload Groove contacts that you acquire after this point.
