Finally, you will have to select your store name. Ensure the store name is the same as the organization name you listed when creating a Benchmark Email account.
Shopify offers a 14-day trial. So, if you’re just starting out with Shopify, it’s a great way to test the Benchmark Email integration. After your 14 day trial expires, you will require a paid Shopify account in order to access any Shopify integrations, including Benchmark Email.

After creating your Benchmark Email and Shopify accounts, it's time to implement the Shopify integration.

Log Into Your Shopify Account
To begin the Shopify integration process, you will be required to log in to your Shopify store account. The dashboard is the interface that grants you the opportunity to control the overall activities happening inside the account.
From the dashboard, click on Apps, which will open a new page. Navigate to the bottom of the page and select the "Manage Private Apps" option.

This will lead to a new page where you will choose to create a "New Private App."

Give your app a name, and for the sake of emergencies, you will need to enter an emergency developer email. These details will be necessary for monitoring all activities going on within your account.

Explore the Admin API Permission Section
When you get to this section, select the option to "Review Disabled Admin API Permissions." Scroll down and check the "Dropdown" option. From there, select the option to "Read and Write."

Next, move to the "Storefront API." From this section, you will activate the permission to gain access to data on your storefront from the Storefront API. Ensure you save the process before proceeding.

You can then create the app by clicking the "I understand" option and then selecting the "Create the App" option.

Upon completing the process, the Admin API section will deliver an API Key and Password that you will need to copy and keep for use in your Benchmark Email account.

Log Into Your Benchmark Email Account
Open your Benchmark Email application to complete the integration process. Select the first name option located at the top page by the right. This option will produce a dropdown. From there, select the option to "integrate." Scroll down to begin the integration process.

You will be required to input your "Shopify Store Name." In case you do not remember your store name, it is placed immediately after the HTTPS:// and before myshopify.com. It's important that you input the correct store name exactly as it reads in the URL. You will then paste the API key and password you have copied earlier to the Shopify API key and password section.

Configure Your Data From Shopify
The Shopify integration with Benchmark will require moving some crucial customer data. To do this, click the "import option." There are three options, so select the option that best fits your needs: (1) All customers (2) Customers who accept marketing (3) Customers who do not accept marketing.

To lift the details of customers from Shopify, use the "Select Benchmark" contact list option. You can then proceed to save and proceed to the next page.

Complete the Process
The final process involves importing your contacts from Shopify to Benchmark. Customers who have provided their details through the signup forms will be moved to the Benchmark panel. The process is automated, all you need is to monitor the process. It's likely that when integration is completed, some of your contacts will be filtered out, either because they repeatedly occur or because of incomplete details.

Note that those who have unsubscribed from your email marketing communications, as well as contacts that feature blocked domains, will also be filtered out during the importing process.
